24 weeks

24 weeks today, 6 months! A little over 3 months before Lia makes her debut! According to my sources, she is getting some pigment to her hair at this point. I think she will be a baldy, but we shall find out soon enough! I wanted her to have a really pretty outfit to come home from the hospital in, but it will just be so cold, that I think I will just go for comfort over beauty. Here's what I have:

This fleece monkey outfit is perfect for the .9 mile drive home from the hospital. It's maybe the softest outfit I've ever felt. Newborn size is just mindbogglingly tiny. I <3 it!

I have a ton of hounds-tooth clothes,  so she can match me :)

This is my mom's new favorite outfit for her.

Another cozy set

23 weeks

Saturdays are fun because I get to wake up and read all my pregnancy books and apps and see what kind of developments Lia will be making this week. My Mayo Clinic book says the bones in her inner ear have hardened, so she can now hear everything I can hear. She can also distinguish my voice from anyone elses!

I'm feeling the need to buy her things other than clothes. She will be here in 17 weeks, so I think it's time to get some of the big purchases little by little so we aren't stuck buying it all at once. So this weeks purchase was the car seat. She can't leave the hospital without it, so it made sense. We went with the Graco Snugride from Burlington:
Here's some more pictures of stuff she got at the mall in Syracuse:

The most luxurious towels a baby can get :)

Guess who picked this one out...

I just love this!

22w2d

I think Lia is going to be a gymnast in the 2028 Olympics because she was doing some gold medal floor routines today. I could never see her move around from outside, just feel it. Today, I had to lay down because she was moving around so much I wanted Keith to feel. He didn't even have to feel, he just saw it! It was really cute! Makes me SO eager for December!

I had to go to the lab and take a routine glucose tolerance test at Wilson Hospital today. Basically, I had to drink orange pedialyte that maybe had a pound of powdered sugar mixed in it. It was so sweet it burned my throat. But, I chugged it, waited an hour and had blood work done. Not really worried that I will have gestational diabetes, but I probably could have ate a better breakfast than Honey Smacks cereal. Probably not a great decision.

Jasmine, Mom and I went to the mall in Syracuse on Sunday. It's comparable to Millenia Mall or International Plaza. The mall in Johnson City is more of a Gulfview Square (but better, obviously). I really just wanted to get these luxe baby bath towels from Pottery Barn Kids. I got a couple of those and it's sad, but I'm excited about that.

Here's a belly picture from tonight and since Keith won't let me take his picture, here's a candid one of him and his son...
Keith is the love of Rico's life.

Clothes!

I did a lot of online shopping when we found out Lia was Lia, and it's coming in the mail now. I found this company, Vitamin Baby, that sells the prettiest girl clothes ever. All the damask onesies are from there. I got them in 6-9 month sizes so she can wear them back home in Florida.

Gap Dress for Easter maybe?

I'm in love with these!!

$1.99, not bad!

Deal of the day

I kept seeing this glider at Burlington Coat Factory and I liked it but I didn't $180 like it. Well, it went on sale but by then they only had the floor sample left. My mom talked them down to a sweet $65 dollars! AND she came home and cleaned it with some Tide. Voila! I'm so happy to get the pink one. I would have settled for the white on white, but this is just too perfect....

This week in purchases...

My mom got her this pink giraffe blanket. It is the softest blanket I've ever felt.

How cute is this outfit?

Got this in a 6 month size so she can wear it when we move back to Florida.
